Skyward Sword VS Twilight Princess

I've been thinking about the two Zelda games I've been playing recently. And how much I like both of them, and how there are certain aspects of the games that I miss when I'm playing the other. For example, I missed Midna in Skyward Sword whenever I had to speak to Fi.

So when I finish Twilight Princess again, I'm gonna make Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess put up their dukes and fight it out in terms of which game is "better." I don't feel like either game is better than the other, but there are parts that are more well done than others. So here are the categories in which I'll be comparing the games to each other:

Link
Zelda
In-Game Partner
Supporting Cast
Plot and Story
Combat Gameplay
World and Exploration
Sidequests (including pieces of heart)
Dungeons & Puzzles
Items
Bosses
The Second in Command Villain
The Final Showdown

I'm looking forward to having a side-by-side comparision of these. It's gonna be fun!

Restarting an Adventure

So tonight I started up Twilight Princess again. It's bringing back memories of the summer I spent playing it (*cough* Totally cheating *cough*) and all the time I've spent in Hyrule.

It's definitely different though, especially coming right off finishing Skyward Sword. Maybe I'm just more aware of the details that the Zelda universe has, but I can tell Twilight Princess is a bit rough around the edges in some places. There's a big cutscene where Zant pretty much takes over Hyrule. The trouble is, the guards look like cutouts and they didn't finish rendering the scene properly. Of course, I noticed that the first time around as well.

But Twilight Princess is meant for the gamecube, in terms of graphics. In some ways, the graphics of TP are AMAZING, but in other ways, Skyward Sword's graphics, while being cel-shaded and less realistic, have a lot more life to them.

I'm digressing, though. I'm excited to start Link's adventure again, and this time, I'm not even going to look at a game guide for this. If I can beat Skyward Sword (okay, I did use a few hints, but the game provides it, and I did try to figure out everything else on my own before checking on the internet) without one, I can do the same with Twilight Princess. Especially since this is...I think my fourth? time through.
